Me Playing Capoiera on the Beach

Found Video of me, playing capoeira on the beach (this is about a year ago). Playing with me is a kid from my group who is growing to be an amazing capoeirista! Look at him go... I'm too worn out and tired to keep up LOL

That kids is very impressive. Shame about the old guy slowing him down. lol. Nice video. I would love to be able to train on a beach that nice or even just a beach.

Lol, ya... I wish I could've start capoeira at his age. But trust me....training on the beach in the dead middle of summer in the state of Florida is not as fun as it looks. LOL.... I was dying. And this bout was after about an hour of training! I was done before I started.

Well the beach is a lot more inviting than the gloomy flat farmland of home.

...point taken. I feel you on that. I grew up in a similar area. I would've given anything for a trip to the beach....heck, even just a trip into town in those days...

That kid in the video looked like had some very good form and great concept of the art. Watching this video it reminds me a bit of a scene from the movie "The Protector" with Tony Jaa. There is a scene where he fights a guy in a church who uses a style that resembles what I see in this video. Very interesting and impressive.

The style in that movie you saw is the same, capoeira! The capoeirista performing in that movie is Lateef Crowder. Check him out, he is featured in quite a few movies. The Protector is an awesome movie.

That movie is pretty awesome. There are several different styles of martial arts in that movie and no strings used. I will definitely have to check out some info on Mr. Crowder. That was a pretty awesome fight scene. He showed a good variety of the different forms of attack and parrying. I love watching that move. :)
